The following report summarises the safety activities for October 2018.

During the reporting period, there were:

1. Four site-specific toolbox talks,

2. One monthly safety meeting was conducted,

3. The commencement of an improved monitoring and reporting process has been agreed up and will be implemented by the end of November.

During October four site-specific toolbox talks were conducted to promote a safe workplace culture.

The findings of the safety audit conducted in September 2018 have been reviewed, and are pending further discussion in order to develop a plan to address safety risks, which incorporates the recommendations from the audit.

No new initiatives were achieved in October. See Safety Challenges for the Worksite/ Division for November initiatives.

During the month of October one Safety Meeting was conducted as a review of safety and health after the findings from the September Safety audit.

No fire drill was conducted and no safety-specific training was conducted.

During November the division will develop a standardised method to monitor and report safety performance on a monthly basis.

Improvements to documenting safety meetings and general records will be made so as to ensure that safety activity is auditable.

WBS has taken the recommendations of the September 2018 audit report and is now developing plans to implement those recommendations.

Whilst there has been some activity to support a safe culture more needs to be done to document the work and ensure records are maintained in such a way that ensures that they are auditable.

The November 2018 report will include more detail on the progress of the recommendations of the September 2018 audit report.
